Chiropractic medicine is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal sytem and the effects of these disorders on the function of your general health. Our doctors are board certified Doctors of Chiropractic Medicine. Chiropractors are educated in noninvasive therapy that emphasizes improving conditions to the articulations (joints) in the spine, upper and lower extremities. Chiropractors are known to perform manipulations and mobilizations to these articulations that provide relief for their patients, but are not limited to these treatments. In Washington State, Chiropractors are able to perform manual therapy, as well as rehabilitation exercises.

Sport Psychology is the mental side of the game. It is all about using skills and techniques to find a persons' optimal performance and well being. The goal is to find the connection between one’s feelings, behaviors, and actions. In a session there will be time to get to know one other and start to figure out what is keeping one from performing at their best. Mental skills will be used to help address motivation, confidence, focus, performance anxiety, and resilience.

Mental Performance Skills that might be taught include: imagery, goal setting, focusing techniques, emotional regulation techniques, and self-talk

These skills can be learned, practiced, and altered when necessary. The sessions can consist of working on skills, venting, and it can be a time for when someone is just needing someone to listen. These skills can be taught to many different people such as athletes, former athletes, businesses, and more.

Hey I’m Hanna Bjerkestrand (not Hanna B. for all you bachelor fanatics).

I graduated from Whitworth University in 2019, I majored in Kinesiology and minored in Psychology and Athletic Coaching.

After graduating I attend Therapeutic Connections School of Massage here in Spokane and now am proudly part of the BTM fam.

Before I found my passion for massage I was a competitive gymnast for ten years and then a high school gymnast. This has lead me to being the head gymnastics coach at Mead High School. These goofy, ambitious, driven gals make me so proud, and I love watching them grow as athletes and as humans. I am also an assistant track and field coach at Mead where I get to hangout with the high jump crew. All the high school athletes I coach are the coolest people you will ever meet.

I am a BIG FAN of cookies, The Office, and dance parties! I love people, I love their stories, and I love helping them live full lives through taking care of their bodies.

Brittany is a licensed massage therapist born and raised in Spokane.

She states, “Hi, I’m Brittany Deniston! Born and raised in Spokane, I graduated from Mead HS in ‘04 and then spent about four years traveling overseas working with a nonprofit that specialized in disaster relief aid. Eventually, I found my way home and attended NW Noetic School of Massage and graduated in 2012.

For the last 10 years, I’ve worked almost exclusively within a medical massage framework seeing anyone from oncology to sports rehabilitation to prenatal patients. I’ve always been passionate about people and their stories and massage therapy has given me a unique way to come alongside others and encourage them to live their best lives.

Outside of massage, I still love to travel and explore! I have two dogs (Sookie and Mia) I love probably more than is healthy and I spend a lot of my time with my massive, shockingly loud family.

I’m so excited to join the BTM family and get involved in the community!”
